An annual celebration to help students unwind after a long year, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained all night long. Here is a snapshot of my evening with course-mates at the ball\u2026<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Student Performances<\/h3>\n<p>In the SCR lots of acts from hip-hop dancers to a capella singers took to the stage in front of a crowd of onlookers. As ever, Dance Company was part of the action and I performed with them in a Disney Medley!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4736\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4736\" style=\"width: 443px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" class=\"wp-image-4736 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/student-blogs\/files\/2019\/06\/IMG_8158-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4736\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Performing a Jazz Routine to &#8216;Friend Like Me&#8217; from Aladdin.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Funfair<\/h3>\n<p>One of the main attractions of the evening were the fairground rides. Set to music from The Greatest Showman, it was a lovely moment from the evening.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4733\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4733\" style=\"width: 346px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" class=\"wp-image-4733 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/student-blogs\/files\/2019\/06\/IMG_8142-e1561399573599-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4733\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fireworks above the Sherfield Building.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Dance Floors<\/h3>\n<p>As with every good party there were lots of rooms for dancing. In H-bar there was some live music, in the Queen\u2019s Tower Rooms there was a silent disco and in the Great Hall there were DJ Sets by headliners Jack Saunders and Pink Panda.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4735\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4735\" style=\"width: 345px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" class=\"wp-image-4735 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/student-blogs\/files\/2019\/06\/IMG_8154-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4735\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Before we hit the dance floor we struck our best poses on the red carpet.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Afterparty<\/h3>\n<p>For those who wanted to continue partying after the main event finished there was an afterparty held in the Beit Quad. A few of us made it over and ducked out at about 3am, which was well before the \u2018survivors photo\u2019 at 5am!<\/p>\n<p>A great time was had by all, and many memories were made that I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll hold onto for years to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Saturday the South Kensington campus was host to the Imperial Summer Ball.
