Aims & Purposes

The Stats reading group is run jointly by the EBS and IDE depts., and meets every 2 weeks to go over a Statistics paper and discuss it as a group. In general, our papers are:

  • Recent: less than 12mths since publication
  • About Stats: they cover topics in recent methodology development
  • About Bio-medical research: they discuss applications to -omics/epidemiology/medine data sets, and how to improve analysis in Bio-medicine

Time and place

The stats reading group sessions are held on Wednesdays 11am-midday every 2 weeks, in the MSc student room (ground floor of the School of Medicine building at St Mary’s hospital.)
