Head of the Department of Analytics, Marketing and Operations\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Professor Wolfram Wiesemann has accepted appointment as Head of the Department of Analytics, Marketing and Operations at Imperial College Business School with effect from 1 September 2022, for a three-year term. Professor Wiesemann will succeed Professor Andreas Eisingerich, who has extended his term as Head of the Department until 31 August 2022. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Wiesemann joined Imperial in 2010 as a research assistant in the Department of Computing. He moved to the Business School in 2013 as an assistant professor and was promoted to Professor of Analytics and Operations in 2019. He is currently the Academic Director of the School\u2019s MSc Business Analytics (on-campus) programme, a role he will step down from when he takes up the role of Head of Department. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Wiesemann\u2019s research focuses on models and algorithms for decision-making under uncertainty, applying to operations management, energy systems and financial engineering.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Head of the Department of Economics and Public Policy\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Professor Tommaso Valletti has accepted an extension to his appointment as Head of the Department of Economics and Public Policy at Imperial College Business School until 31 July 2023.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Valletti was previously the Director of the PhD Programme at the Business School. He served as Chief Competition Economist of the European Commission (Directorate General for Competition). He is a Fellow of the <\/span>Centre for Economic Policy Research,<\/span>\u00a0as well as a member of <\/span>the CMA\u2019s academic advisory panel. He is a Non-Executive Director to the board of the Financial Conduct Authority.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Valletti\u2019s main research interests are in industrial economics, regulation, and <\/span>competition<\/span> economics. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
