Professor Arlt will also be the new Director of the Medical Research Council (MRC) London Institute of Medical Sciences (LMS). Professor Arlt has held many other senior roles within the University of Birmingham and she was previously based at University Hospital W\u00fcrzburg, Germany.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Professor Arlt\u2019s research focus is in the exploration of the role of steroid synthesis and metabolism in human health and disease.
