Shadows and Reflections around Campus<\/h2>\n

It’s that time of year again, where the light bounces around the campus making for great shadows and reflections…<\/p>\n

The South Kensington campus includes some quite large reflective surfaces, in the low sun swoops of Autumn and Spring these areas of campus really come to life, it’s a great time to get snapping.<\/p>\n

The low sun at the right angle slices past the Queens Tower, and bounces light back off the glass of Sherfield, and directly back onto the face of the lions.<\/p>\n

These friends are lit by the same bounced light off the glass of the Sherfield building as the image above, the sun is behind them.<\/p>\n

Sunlight swooping through, creating wonderful artworks on it’s way past the main entrance windows.<\/p>\n

Before the introduction of the Big Screen, I used to love harvesting shadows and reflections in this main entrance spot.<\/p>\n

A good excuse to wheel out this image again, this is the time of year that the light corridor opens up across Dalby court, be quick though, it takes less than an hour to appear and then vanish again each day…<\/p>\n

You really do have to be quick, this image was taken ground level 25 minutes earlier, and the corridor is a good ten feet wider.<\/p>\n

The trees along Imperial College Road throw some great shadows around as the leaves come off.<\/p>\n

If you wait a bit longer when the leaves are off completely, and come in early enough, the trees do a spooky job on the Queens Lawn…<\/p>\n

…which came in useful for the Design Team when mocking up fun proposals for the College’s Halloween social media Graphics.<\/p>\n
