{"id":448,"date":"2024-07-31T12:20:25","date_gmt":"2024-07-31T11:20:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/office365\/?p=448"},"modified":"2024-07-31T15:35:36","modified_gmt":"2024-07-31T14:35:36","slug":"microsoft-teams-town-hall-and-webinar-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/office365\/2024\/07\/31\/microsoft-teams-town-hall-and-webinar-events\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Teams &#8211; Town Hall and Webinar events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"xmsonospacing\"><b><u>Town Hall events \u2013 available NOW<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonospacing\">In place of Live Events (which have now been deprecated in Imperial), Microsoft are providing a new feature called Town Halls.\u00a0 This offers many of the features that were available in Live Events, such as anonymous audience viewing and a moderated Q and A using the Teams Q and A feature which has evolved and is available more generally across Teams meetings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonospacing\">In addition, Microsoft have added a feature to Town Halls which allows additional presenters on the screen \u2013 so it is much easier to hold Q and A sessions with multiple presenters at the same time or for multiple speakers to appear on screen together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonospacing\">To request access to schedule a Town Hall event, you will need to complete a new Town Hall request form.
