{"id":10,"date":"2022-01-14T17:40:32","date_gmt":"2022-01-14T17:40:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/ict-success-stories\/?p=10"},"modified":"2022-01-14T17:46:43","modified_gmt":"2022-01-14T17:46:43","slug":"new-year-new-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/ict-success-stories\/2022\/01\/14\/new-year-new-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"New year, new strategy!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I had better write something on our brand new ICT blog, as the default message is&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"71\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/ict-success-stories\/files\/2022\/01\/Nothing-found-300x71.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; leaving that up is like the WordPress Blog equivalent to \u2018Computer says no!\u201d and we have a bad enough rep as it is! ?<\/p>\n<p>2022 has finally arrived, and we have a new years resolution in the guise of a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/admin-services\/ict\/about-ict\/strategy\/\">ICT strategy<\/a> and roadmap to work towards making some exciting improvements to ensure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A seamless, digital student journey<\/li>\n<li>The best tools and systems<\/li>\n<li>Robust and reliable technology<\/li>\n<li>Delighted customers placed at <span data-contrast=\"none\" data-usefontface=\"false\">the heart of the services<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Confidence in cyber security<\/li>\n<li>The best technology talent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>But how did we come up with all that lot?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignright wp-image-14 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/ict-success-stories\/files\/2022\/01\/Bomber-Value-creation-workshop-Infrastructure-enablers-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Peter Brown showing his post it note work\" \/>In summer 21 we set up some<strong> ICT Tech Days<\/strong> for all our 250 staff to attend (Hybrid mode of course!)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When I heard we were going to be attending workshops to strategise for the next 5 years, I thought great \u2013 I love a post it note session!
