{"id":232,"date":"2012-07-30T11:25:27","date_gmt":"2012-07-30T11:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/hr-notices\/?p=232"},"modified":"2012-07-30T11:25:27","modified_gmt":"2012-07-30T11:25:27","slug":"lpimplementation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/hr-notices\/2012\/07\/30\/lpimplementation\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Pay Award 2012\/13 implementation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Local Pay Bargaining takes place on an annual basis at Imperial, involving negotiations between the College and the Joint Trades Unions (JTUs).<\/p>\n<p>Following the College\u2019s final pay offer, the JTUs, representing UCU, Unite and Unison, were not able to agree to this pay award.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The College has carefully considered its position and the representations of the Unions during the pay bargaining process. \u00a0\u00a0For reasons noted in the correspondence available below, the College believes its final offer of \u00a3800 or 1%, whichever is the greater, to be appropriate in the current financial circumstances when assessed against the pay benchmarking and incremental benefits available to many staff and has implemented this offer with effect from 1 August 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The College\u2019s pay scales and schedules of allowances have been updated to include the above mentioned increase, which applies to all staff on terms and conditions of service subject to local pay bargaining.\u00a0 Payments at the appropriate new rates will be made in August 2012 salaries.\u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/www3.imperial.ac.uk\/hr\/salaries\">revised scales <\/a>are now available.\u00a0 Documentary <a href=\"http:\/\/www3.imperial.ac.uk\/hr\/salaries\/salariesjobfamilies\/payawardlocal\">background to the pay negotiations process <\/a>is also available to view.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Local Pay Bargaining takes place on an annual basis at Imperial, involving negotiations between the College and the Joint Trades Unions (JTUs).
