It is published on p. 111 in an anthology called\u00a0<em>Body Language: poems of the medical training experience<\/em>, edited by Jain, N., Coppock, D. and Brown Clark, S., published by Boa Editions, NY: Rochester.<\/p>\n<p><em>Gratitude<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mr. H, taciturn and a little odd,<br \/>\nWhose wife preferred another man,<br \/>\nAnd who would come faithfully<br \/>\nLate by fifteen regular minutes<br \/>\nEach Friday. Mrs. V and her loyal<br \/>\nVeterinarian daughter, the other<br \/>\nAn internet mogul in Hawaii,<br \/>\nWho wanted only for us to spare<br \/>\nThe eyebrows, though she&#8217;d lost<br \/>\nAll sense of self and hair. These images<br \/>\nAre the ones I remember, when the<br \/>\nClock runs two hours early,<br \/>\nAnd the waiting room shrinks to<br \/>\nMaximum capacity.
