The review summarized the current knowledge, examined the sociocultural context in West Africa, and outlined priority areas for future research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr Nathalie MacDermott presented the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b05ny7nz\">Good Friday meditation<\/a> on BBC Radio 4 . Nathalie has been to Liberia several times to work with Ebola patients. Nathalie is currently an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow but has just been awarded a Wellcome Trust ISSF award to further her work on Ebola in Sierra Leone.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/people\/s.kroll\">Professor Simon Kroll<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/reporter\/2011\/04\/11\/mini-profile-professor-paul-langford\/\">Professor Paul Langford<\/a> have been awarded \u00a0\u00a3210,000 from Meningitis Now to look at the impact of <a href=\"http:\/\/meningitisnow.msgfocus.com\/c\/12bqr5UpoBzlydlACSt9sg\">Men B vaccination on bacterial carriage<\/a>\u00a0in babies and young children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/people\/jane.webb\">Jane Webb<\/a><br \/>\nSection Secretary \u2013 Paediatrics<br \/>\nImperial College London<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Beate Kampmann coauthored a paper entitled Ebola: A holistic approach is required to achieve effective management and control in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
