The course will host government representatives from 13 African Francophone countries, who for 10 days will focus on supporting effective SHN intervention delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Opening the ceremony, Professor Anta Tal Dia, Director of ISED addressed participants, \u201cThe consensus is unanimous, it is essential to ensure good school health and nutrition if we want to see high educational achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsandhealth.org\/Lists\/News  Events\/DispForm.aspx?ID=181\">Read more about the Course.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>School meals can do more than just feed children<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/fom\/files\/2013\/10\/school-meals.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"285\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1222\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/fom\/files\/2013\/10\/school-meals-300x285.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>Each year on 16 October <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/getinvolved\/worldfoodday\/en\/\">World Food Day<\/a> aims to increase understanding of problems and solutions in the drive to end hunger, malnutrition and poverty. Over the years the day has taken on various themes which have focused on investing in agriculture and recently focus has been drawn on health and education too.<\/p>\n<p>One solution which countries have put in place to combat hunger and poverty is to provide free school meals to their schoolchildren.
