{"id":1121,"date":"2013-08-20T15:41:01","date_gmt":"2013-08-20T14:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www2.imperial.ac.uk\/fom\/?p=1121"},"modified":"2018-05-29T10:37:59","modified_gmt":"2018-05-29T09:37:59","slug":"partnership-for-child-development-august-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/fom\/2013\/08\/20\/partnership-for-child-development-august-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Partnership for Child Development August update"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Dubai documentary<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In May 2012, <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.imperial.ac.uk\/partnershipchilddevelopment\/\" target=\"_blank\">Partnership for Child Development<\/a> (PCD)\u00a0were filmed by Dubai documentary makers on their role in <a href=\"http:\/\/hgsf-global.org\/news\/239-new-programme-to-improve-nutrition-in-ghanaian-school-meals?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">Ghana&#8217;s Home Grown School Feeding\u00a0programme<\/a> (GSFP).<a href=\"http:\/\/vod.dmi.ae\/media\/232902\/Sanad\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"819\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-1130\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/fom\/files\/2013\/08\/Daniel-Mumuni-filmed-for-Dubai-TV-One-Original-1024x819.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The documentary series, entitled\u00a0<em>Sanad,<\/em> began\u00a0airing\u00a0during\u00a0Ramadan last month, with\u00a0the GSFP featured\u00a0in episode\u00a0one. The series featured projects\u00a0funded by\u00a0philanthropic organisation\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dubaicares.ae\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Dubai Cares<\/a>, which included <a href=\"UrlBlockedError.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Home Grown School Feeding<\/a> programmes supported by PCD and its partners\u00a0in both\u00a0Ghana and Ethiopia.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0episode one,\u00a0PCD&#8217;s West Africa Regional\u00a0Director, Daniel Mumuni, outlined\u00a0PCD&#8217;s role in the programme alongside\u00a0the aims of\u00a0HGSF programmes;\u00a0to support child health, nutrition and education, at the same time as promoting local livelihoods.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/vod.dmi.ae\/media\/232902\/Sanad\">Watch\u00a0episode one of      the documentary <\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/19gtmBG\" target=\"_blank\">Read more about the GSFP<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>M&amp;E Guidance for School Health Programmes<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"209\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1137\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs-staging.imperial.ac.uk\/fom\/files\/2013\/08\/FRESH-image-209x300.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As part of ongoing efforts to provide internationally-agreed guidance on how to monitor and evaluate school health programmes, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshschools.org\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Focused Resources of Effective School Health (FRESH)<\/a> partners havedeveloped <a href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolsandhealth.org\/Lists\/News%20%20Events\/DispForm.aspx?ID=169\" target=\"_blank\">Monitoring and Evaluation (M&amp;E) Guidance for School Health Programmes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Partnership for Child Development, \u00a0alongside numerous individuals and organisations, have input support, advice, and insight into this publication over the past five years.
