We will offer gift vouchers as a token thank you to volunteers, unless you are able to arrange time off in lieu.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatexhibitionroadfestival.co.uk\/event\/climate-friendly-pop-up-kitchen\/?backto=whats-on\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Grantham\u2019s Climate Friendly Pop Up Kitchen <\/strong><\/a>in Exhibition Road. This popular award-winning stall will offer a selection of plant-based food samples, recipe cards, info leaflets and interactive games about sustainable food. The aim is to show that climate friendly cooking is healthy, affordable and delicious.<em>This would suit someone who\u2019s passionate about food, particularly plant-based food \u2013 and keen to talk to the public about small changes we can make to benefit the planet.\n<p><\/em><\/li>\n<li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatexhibitionroadfestival.co.uk\/event\/eco-pawprints-2026\/?backto=whats-on\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eco Pawprint of our Pets<\/a><\/strong> in the Family Fun Zone near the Albert Memorial demonstrate the ecological damage pets flea and tick treatments can do to wildlife, giving visitors the chance to learn how to reduce use of these and how to dispose of them safely if a pet has fleas. The stall will be run by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/grantham\/research\/parasiticides-pollution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Imperial\u2019s PREPP team<\/a> of vets, ecologists and water experts. There will be interactive activities including testing river water samples to check the prevalence of flea and tick treatments, looking at fleas under a microscope and an art activity for kids creating dragonflies, butterflies and bees \u2013 all at threat from these treatments \u2013 as part of a vibrant collage.<em>This would suit someone who\u2019s an animal\/ nature lover, keen to do engagement with families and young children or who has creative skills.\n<p><\/em><\/li>\n<li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/grantham\/education\/science-and-solutions-for-a-changing-planet-dtp\/programme\/challenge-teams\/project-list-2024-25\/urban-wildlife\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Urban Wildlife<\/a> <\/strong>stall in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatexhibitionroadfestival.co.uk\/zones\/underground-adventure-zone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Underground Adventure Zone<\/a> in Princess Gardens will offer visitors the chance to make seed bombs packed with wildflower seeds to plant in their garden, park or in a window box. The team will also offer their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southkenzen.org\/media\/documents\/decision_tree_ka_final_v2.01-compressed_1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Decision Tree<\/a>, advising on the most pollinator friendly plants you can grow on windowsills\/ balconies\/ patios and gardens.
