Moving forward, the most recent third Joint British Societies\u2019 (JBS3) guidelines have been designed to include people who have a high lifetime CVD event risk despite having a low 10-year risk of CVD.<\/p>\n<p>The JBS3 points out that the primary aim of the guidelines is to serve as a tool which will help in discussing CVD risks with the patient.
