The internships are 4 weeks in length (or\u00a0part-time equivalent)\u00a0and can be taken at any\u00a0point\u00a0during the\u00a0summer.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme requires you to find your own\u00a0internship within a non-profit organisation based in the UK. Imperial College Careers Service will then offer you \u00a3245\u00a0a week over the four weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Previous Charity Insights students have worked in a wide range of charities such as Greenpeace, Blue Ventures Conservation, The Big Issue Foundation and the Royal Society conducting various projects including research, GIS mapping, publishing, marketing, data analysis and more.<\/p>\n<p>Previous participants said:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>\u201cI\u2019ve come out having seen a whole different side of the world \u2013 a far cry from what life on campus can lull you into thinking the real world is like \u2013 and that I wouldn\u2019t have ordinarily seen were it not for Charity Insights.\u201d <\/em>(Will Prince, third year Physics)<\/li>\n<li><em>\u201cIt has opened up my eyes to the different options available for graduates within the non-commercial sector that still have some relation to science.\u201d <\/em>(Aleks Berditchevskaia, Bioengineering)<\/li>\n<li><em>\u201cIt has been a memorable four weeks that I feel extremely privileged to have had.
