Four Vice-Deans have been appointed in the Faculty of Medicine, with effect from 1 August 2013, following a review of the Faculty\u2019s internal governance structure.<\/p>\n
Professor Gavin Screaton<\/strong> has been appointed as the Vice-Dean for Academic Development.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Working closely with the Dean, he will be responsible for the development of strategic plans and their implementation<\/p>\n Professor Lord Darzi<\/strong> has been appointed as Vice-Dean of Health Policy and Engagement.\u00a0 He will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Faculty strategy for Health Policy and Engagement.<\/p>\n Professor Jonathan Weber<\/strong> has been appointed as the Vice-Dean for Research.\u00a0 He will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Faculty and AHSC Research strategy.<\/p>\n Professor Jenny Higham<\/strong> has been appointed as the Vice-Dean for Education and Institutional Affairs.\u00a0 She will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of education and institutional affairs at the Faculty of Medicine and will also deputise for the Dean in his absence.<\/p>\n Professor Dermot Kelleher<\/strong> as Dean\u00a0has overall responsibility for the strategic and academic direction of the Faculty of Medicine with a specific focus\u00a0on translational strategy and development, while the Vice-Deans will be responsible for the delivery of the Faculty\u2019s core mission in their respective areas, reporting to the Dean.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Four Vice-Deans have been appointed in the Faculty of Medicine, with effect from 1 August 2013, following a review of the Faculty\u2019s internal governance structure.
