Of the award winners up to four may be selected to receive a Rector\u2019s Medal for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching Excellence. One of the Medals may carry the title of Medal for Outstanding Innovation in Teaching.<\/p>\n<p>Awards for Excellence in Teaching are conferred on the following staff for 2011:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professor Alan Armstrong &#8211; Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Mr Greg Artus &#8211; Humanities<\/li>\n<li>Professor Donald Craig &#8211; Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Dr Robert Davies &#8211; Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Dr Gary Hampson \u2013 Earth Science and Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Dr Stuart Haslam \u2013 Life Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Dr Patricia Hunt \u2013 Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Mr Zen Makuch &#8211; CEP<\/li>\n<li>Dr Dan Moore &#8211; Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Dr Kevin Murphy &#8211; Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Dr Richard Murphy \u2013 Life Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Dr Alessandra Russo \u2013 Computing<\/li>\n<li>Dr Jane Saffell \u2013 Life Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Dr Sandra Shefelbine &#8211; Bioengineering<\/li>\n<li>Dr Colin Turnbull \u2013 Life Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Professor Andrew Walden \u2013 Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Professor Helen Ward \u2013 Public Health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rector\u2019s Medals for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching Excellence are awarded to the following staff:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mr Zen Makuch &#8211; CEP<\/li>\n<li>Dr Sandra Shefelbine &#8211; Bioengineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Rector\u2019s Medal for Outstanding Innovation in Teaching is awarded to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr Jane Saffell \u2013 Life Sciences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RECTOR\u2019S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH SUPERVISION<\/p>\n<p>The Rector\u2019s Awards for Excellence in Research Supervision recognise staff who have made exceptional contributions in providing a supportive learning environment for postgraduate research students.
